'Sealife' is not an official name, but a description of the subjects these paperweights depict. The known paperweights are as follows:

Examples

Ammonite

Sealife ammonite paperweight

This example is in dark iridescent purple; it is also known in pink.


Large finned fish

Finned fish paperweight in iridescent purple

This example is in dark iridescent purple and is the most common colourway.

Finned fish paperweight in amber and pink

This example is in amber and pink and very rarely seen.

Finned fish paperweight with spots

This example with multicoloured spots is somewhat larger than average at 12 cm high and about 13 cm long. The base is ground down less than usual and the tail fins have been cut and divided more than the examples above. The label indicates it was made in the early 1990s.


Small finned fish

So far seen only in this gold iridescent colourway.


Big-eye scaly fish

Big-eye scaly fish paperweight

This form of pressed fish seems to be much less common than the other types. This is the only colourway known.


Flat fish

This dark iridescent purple colourway is the most commonly seen.

Sealife fish paperweight

This colourway in white with splashes of yellow and pink is less commonly seen.


Limpet

This colourway is in shades of pink and blue together.


Scallop

Has been seen in turquoise or light green.


Seahorse

The dark iridescent purple is the most commonly seen.

Sealife seahorse paperweight

This colourway in clear glass with browns and greens is less common than the dark iridescent purple one.

Winkle

Known in blue or dark iridescent purple. Too few have been seen to know which is the most common colourway.
