About this design

These perfume bottles were part of a special commission from someone called Foster Fernandez who allegedly perpetrated a con on a perfume producer and Isle of Wight Studio Glass to produce a few hundred bottles. He then proceeded to sell them through the national press having neither paid for the perfume nor the bottles [1].

The bottles are in New Kyoto finish, but in a pink. They were produced in 1987 only, so are very rarely found. The flat stopper sports a large U as the product was called 'Perfume for U'. The bottles came in two sizes: 9 cm high and 12 cm high.

Examples

This is the larger of the two sizes.
